Chick Evans Caddie Scholarships
|
Applications should be submitted ASAP after July 1 following junior year. Seniors should try to get all materials submitted by September 30.
|
High school student that has completed junior year; must have caddied successfully and regularly for a minimum of 2 years; must rank in the top 25% of class; must establish financial need; must be outstanding in character, integrity, and leadership.
|
Official Evans Scholarship must be obtained from the sponsoring golf club; letters of recommendation from the sponsoring club officials (club president, caddie/golf committee chairman, golf professional, and caddie superintendent); official transcript; financial documentation, including a copy of parents' most recent federal tax return and Financial Aid Form; scores from the ACT or SAT.
Scholarships are 1-year grants covering tuition and housing at selected colleges and may be renewed for up to four years at the Foundation's option.

- Maintaining a minimum high school GPA of 2.75 or higher
- Pursuing a bachelor's degree

To be eligible, the student must meet the following criteria as of March 15, 2012. Must be between the ages of 6 and 18 and not yet a high school graduate. Actions must be described in detail and should document efforts above and beyond what is expected of a child his or her age. Volunteer efforts must have occurred in the last year. Winners are chosen based on the project, benefits and outcome. Applications and instructions are available online only.
