After School Coalition - February 2014

About Mundelein After School Coalition

MASC Club By-Laws

The overall goal of After School Coalition is to provide activities for adolescents after school lets out that are safe and keep them from making poor decisions.
We want to get the entire community involved in making Mundelein the best it can possibly be! A bigger goal is to prevent underage drinking in Mundelein. By giving students alternatives, we hope to stop this epidemic.

We promote a drug and alcohol free environment, an eco-friendly community, and help the community through charitable events and deeds. We also help ease the transition from middle school to high school as that can be a very scary and stressful time. We want to make Mundelein a better, safer, and cleaner community.

Bi-Monthly Meetings
  • After School Coalition meets twice a month. One meeting takes place in the District Meeting Room at MHS, before school starts at 7:25 AM. The second meeting usually takes place at the Mundelein Police Department.
Police Station Meetings
  • We work closely with the Mundelein Police Department and have a meeting there once a month. This meeting usually takes place on a Thursday at the Police Station at 11:30 PM. For this meeting, students must fill out permission slip forms to miss a portion of second and third period. In order to be able to attend these monthly meetings, MASC members must keep their grades up and demonstrate their contribution to the group.
