Dear Show Choir Community,
For the 50th time, Mundelein High School cordially invites you and your great show choirs to compete in the Mundelein Invitational! Admittedly, this is not the 50th SHOW CHOIR invitational but it is the 50th edition of the Mundelein Invitational which has a long and rich tradition as the longest running jazz band competition in the state of Illinois. That being said, we’re gearing up for another exciting day of high quality music performances by your choirs coupled with quality adjudication and feedback. Middle School and Junior High School Show Choirs will perform in a one round competition while single gendered (unisex) and mixed choirs will compete with an opportunity to perform again in the evening finals competition. We will again hold a soloist competition in conjunction with the Show Choir Invitational and of course the 50th Annual Mundelein Jazz Band Invitational will be going on at the same time! Your music department can have a great weekend in the Northwest Suburbs of Chicago and potentially go downtown for a matinee on Sunday in Chicago’s great Theater District. Just a suggestion! Enter early and you’ll save a bit on the registration fee(reduced by $50 per choir) if entered prior to September 30, 2014. Our large stage with equally large wings, great sound reinforcement and lighting will help make your performance great. If you have questions about the event, please contact me on e-mail or phone.
