MHS Theatre produces three full length productions each year - a fall play, a winter play and a spring musical. In addition, we also produce student directed one-acts in the early fall. We strive to put on quality productions while providing a valuable educational experience for our students. Opportunities exist for students in the area of acting, directing, technical theatre, design and choreography. In addition to our productions, MHS Theatre also sponsors a trip each year to the Illinois High School Theatre Festival.
MHS Theatre is a co-curricular program. We offer a one-term general theatre class (Introduction to Theatre), as well as a two term class in Technical Theatre. Our performance classes consist of Beginning Acting (one term) and Theatre Studio (two terms). Click here for a description of the theatre courses.
