Welcome to the Dean’s office at Mundelein High School
Our goal:
To create a safe and supportive learning environment by working collaboratively with students, parents, and staff.
We use the Comprehensive School Threat Assessment Guidelines (CSTAG)—a nationally recognized, evidence-based framework—to assess and respond to reported threats or concerning behaviors. This approach helps us distinguish between transient comments and credible threats, ensuring we respond thoughtfully, provide appropriate supports, and maintain a safe learning environment for all students and staff.
Deans assist students with the following:
- Student Attendance
- Behavior expectations - student code of conduct
- Problem solving
- Peer conflict resolution
- Connecting students and parents with school and community resources
- Supervision of extracurricular activities
