Return to School Metrics

Plans to return to school require three key metrics and four phases as listed in the matrix below.

D120 community metrics will determine the phases and how we deliver education to our students.

To determine the phase, the metric must be within the threshold for a minimum of 7 consecutive days.

D120’s current phase will be determined by the lowest metric.

D120’s current phase is contingent on guidance from the IDPH and Lake County health department.

A D120 weighted average is created for Incidence Rate and Positivity Percentage.

The weighted averages for incidence rate and positivity percentage are created using data related to the student population in the D120 community.

The weighted averages are created from 7-day rolling averages for each metric.

The Diagnostic Testing metric is a Lake County data point.
