Important Homecoming Dates/Information:

Spirit Days

  • Monday, September 8, 2025 - Tropical Paradise - Dress for an island vacation.
  • Tuesday, September 9, 2025 - Adam Sandler - Baggy t-shirts and basketball shorts!
  • Wednesday, September 10, 2025 - Team Spirit - Rep your favorite team or wear your homecoming jersey/tee.
  • Thursday, September 11, 2025 - Comfy Cozy - Rock your PJs or coziest clothes.
  • Friday, September 12, 2025 - #MundyPride - Wear your class colors!
    • Seniors - black
    • Juniors - red
    • Sophomores - gray
    • Freshmen - white

Homecoming Activities

  • Homecoming Hallway Decorating Competition - Friday, September 5, from 3:30 - 4:30 PM
    • All students are welcome to participate in decorating.
    • Materials will be provided for decorating. However, students are welcome to bring/create additional decorations to match their theme. All decorations will be approved by the appropriate class sponsor prior to hanging them up.
    • Assigned Hallways
  • Freshmen - Jungle Adventures in lower C-wing near elevators
  • Sophomores - Surf City in B-wing near Math Lab and Study Cafe
  • Juniors - Tropical Rainforest in B-wing Nurse’s Office
  • Seniors - Underwater Wonders in English A-wing

 

  • Homecoming Fundraiser: Wednesday, September 10, during all lunch periods
    • Highlands Soda Pop Shoppe - $5 each
    • Custom Soda Drinks

Homecoming Court

  • Round I: September 2-5
    • Voting for Freshman - Junior Representatives: Students vote for Top 5 from their grade level
    • The Top 2 will be announced via morning announcements on Monday, September 8.
    • Voting for Senior Top 10 - Seniors select their Top 10 from their grade level
    • Senior Top 10 will be announced via morning announcements on Monday, September 8.
  • Round II: September 8-10
    • Entire student body will vote for Senior Homecoming Royalty based on the Top 10 selected. Winners will be announced at the Homecoming Assembly.

Food Truck Event

  • Wednesday, September 10, from 4-7 p.m.

Senior Girls Night

  • Wednesday, September 10, from 8-10:30 p.m. • Students must stay until 10:30 p.m.
  • $15 Admission - must be purchased on Omella by September 5, at 11:59 p.m.
  • $34 for scrubs + t-shirt - must be purchased by August 18,  at 3:30 p.m.
  • A limited number of extra t-shirts and scrubs will be available on a first-come, first-serve basis at Senior Girls Night
  • The permission form is embedded in the admission purchase on Omella.
  • Please be sure to read all the information prior to approval.
  • If you are experiencing financial hardship, please contact Mrs. Libert (slibert@d120.org) for financial assistance.

  • Friday, September 12 @ 11:30 a.m. in the Main Gym

Homecoming Parade

  • Friday, September 12, from 3:30-4:30 p.m.
  • Parade route will begin and end at MHS (Same route as last year)
    • Lineup at 2:30 p.m., in the student parking lot
    • Late bus will run at 5 p.m., ONLY

Homecoming Games

  • Tuesday, September 9
    • Varsity Girls Volleyball v. Vernon Hills, 6 p.m., in the Main Gym
  • Wednesday, September 10
    • Varsity Girls Volleyball v. Zion-Benton, 6 p.m., in the Main Gym
    • Girls Flag Football v. Libertyville, at the Stadium
  • Thursday, September 11
    • Varsity Boys Golf v. Waukegan, 4 p.m.,  at Steeple Chase Golf Course
  • Friday, September 12
    • Varsity Boys Soccer v. Zion-Benton, 5 p.m., at the Stadium
    • Varsity Football v. Zion-Benton, 7 p.m.,  at the Stadium

Homecoming Dance

  • Saturday, September 13, 2025,  from 7-10 p.m. • Tickets $20
  • Online Sales: August 20 - September 10 (purchase on Omella)
  • In-Person (Cash Only) Sales: September 4, September 9 during lunches
  • Guest Forms available in the Dean's Office.
  • Due by Tuesday, September 9 *no exceptions*
  • No tickets will be sold at the door
  • Concessions will be available.
