This beautiful adaptation of the Greek tragedy of Orpheus and Eurydice will be performed at 7:30 p.m. on October 30 and November 1 with matinee performances at 2 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
Told through Eurydice’s (Stella Buisson) eyes, the play follows her journey to the underworld after a tragic accident—where she’s reunited with her father (Xavion Haynes) and must choose between the world she knew and the one she’s found. Will Orpheus (Connor Bui), her lover, find her in his quest to the underworld? Filled with poetic language, humor, and heart, “Eurydice” is a moving story about what we remember, what we forget, and what it means to say goodbye.
The play is set on the thrust, a seating arrangement in the theatre where the stage extends out into the audience, creating an audience on three sides. MHS Theater Director Maddie Martorana will make her debut at Mundelein Theatre with this play.
The cast includes Archer St. Clair, Xavion Haynes,Vesta Albano, Ellory Duval, Ella Gallup, Sydney Larson, Kelly McQuillan, Brendan Niernberg, Matias Rodrgiuez, and Jasmine Tigley. Production stage managers are Shadow Reid and Arrow Jones. Assistant directors are Eli Nerdin and Finn Trackman.
