Girls Basketball Pancake Breakfast Oct. 15

Mundelein High School’s Girls Basketball teams will host a Pancake Breakfast fundraiser Saturday, Oct. 15, from 6:30 a.m. to noon in the Mundelein High School cafeteria.

Mundelein High School will hold its annual charity Variety Show with a Halloween theme since the show was moved from March to October.

MHS to move to traditional 8-period day

Following a special Board of Education meeting Sept. 28 to hear a final presentation by the MHS administration concerning the bell schedule, the District 120 Board has voted 5 to 1 to move from the current 4 X 4 Block Schedule to a traditional 8-period day. The new schedule will begin at the start of the 2017-2018 school year.

Candidates packets are now available for community members interested in running in the April 4, 2017 Mundelein High School School District 120 Board of Education election.

Ten seniors named Commended Students

Mundelein High School’s Principal, Anthony Kroll, has announced that 10 MHS students have been named Commended Students in the National Merit Scholarship Program.

Kids Dance Clinic, Orchesis Show Oct. 2 and 3

Mundelein High School’s Orchesis Club will host its first show of the year Monday, Oct. 3 at 7 p.m. in the MHS Auditorium. It will be preceded by a Kids Dance Clinic to be held Sunday, Oct. 2 from 1 to 2:30 p.m.

MHS mourns loss of long-time teacher Jerri Craven

Long-time MHS faculty member, Jerri Craven, passed away over the weekend. A tribute to her memory was recently published in the Mundelein Review.

Four middle school choirs to join MHS choirs in concert

Mundelein High School’s vocal music department will host its first concert of the year Thursday, Sept. 29, beginning at 7 p.m. in the MHS Auditorium. Admission is free, but donations will be accepted.
