    Mundelein High School senior Miguel Hernandez has earned plenty of accolades from his play on the football field and his achievements in the classroom. But on March 4, he added another to the list: The Chicago Bears Community High School All-Star Award. The award recognizes high school football players who make a positive impact in their community and school. Miguel was the first of nine winners from throughout the state who are chosen because they exemplify service, leadership and character.

    This Saturday, March 12 the Mundelein High School Band Program is hosting the 55th annual Mundelein Jazz Invitational. After a two year hiatus due to the pandemic, we are excited to welcome 43 High School and Middle School jazz groups from 27 different schools from 8am – 6pm this Saturday.     MHS artists receive $1.4 m. in scholarships; prepare for IHSAE Exhibition

    Mundelein High School students received a combined $1.42 million of tuition scholarship this year and will represent MHS and compete for top prizes at the 2022 Illinois High School Art Exhibition (IHSAE) hosted by Art ConnecteED on Sunday, March 13. These students are selected across eight different categories or from submitted scholarship portfolios. The event includes the best student artists from 100 Illinois suburban, public and private high schools.

    MHS staff member receives Those Who Excel recognition

    Joanna Rodriguez, an administrative assistant at Mundelein High School, has been named a recipient of the “Those Who Excel” award by the Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE). The Board honored her with a meritorious service award in the category of educational service personnel. A graduate of Mundelein High School and a first-generation student, Joanna is often the first face to greet many MHS students and parents.
