    The future of Mundelein Theatre will be on display on the Mundelein High School stage in their upcoming production of A Wicked Christmas Carol, by Bobby Keniston. This is a delightful and heartwarming holiday play that is great for the entire family. The story is an ingenious combination of two classic stories, A Christmas Carol and The Wizard of Oz. The show will be performed at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, Nov. 11, 12 and 13, and at 3:45 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 11.

    Two MHS students earn rare perfect score on an AP exam

    The College Board has announced that two Mundelein High School students earned perfect scores on its Advanced Placement (AP) Exam in spring 2021. Hannah Cho, who graduated in May, and Steffen Brown, now a MHS senior, were among a select number of students worldwide to earn every point possible on the AP Exam in a particular subject. Hannah was one of 46 students to earn a perfect score in 3-D Art and Design. Steffen was one of 335 students to earn a perfect score in Computer Science Principles.

    MHS honors Coach Giannamore, recognizes former athletes

    One would think that after a lifetime of coaching, teaching and community service and a long list of accolades, there would be nothing more of Frank Giannamore’s life to highlight. Yet the honors keep coming. On Friday Oct. 22, the retired Mundelein High School football coach was presented a plaque welcoming him into the 2021 Lake County High School Sports Hall of Fame. Fittingly, the event was a halftime ceremony during the MHS Mustangs final home football game of the season.

    Mundelein High school juniors Sriharikrishna (Sri) Gaddam and Diego Prado were recently selected as the two representatives from Mundelein High School for the Congressman Brad Schneider’s (D-Deerfield) STEAM Scholars program. The program aims to connect highly-motivated students interested in science, technology, engineering, art, and mathematics with hands-on learning experiences throughout the 10th congressional district.

    Volleyball team hosts Cancer Awareness Night

    The Mundelein High School Girls Volleyball team will host its Cancer Awareness Night on Wednesday, Oct. 20 in memory of Kristen Meister, a Mundelein teacher who passed away last summer. All proceeds raised will go to The Lynn Sage Cancer Research Foundation in memory of Kristen. The Mundelein High School Girls Varsity Volleyball teams will match up against Zion-Benton in the MHS gym. Freshman A & Sophomores play at 5 pm, and Freshman B & Varsity play at 6 pm.

He didn’t have any other aspirations and went to community college without a plan. It would be six years before he earned a college degree and eight more years before he started his career.     MHS inducts 75 members to National Honor Society

    Mundelein High School inducted 61 students into the National Honor Society (NHS) in a ceremony held at 7 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 4 at the high school. The inductees were chosen by a faculty selection committee based on the four principles of NHS, namely character, scholarship, leadership and service. NHS Faculty Advisor Aaron Dame and NHS Chapter President Cameron Gilbert opened the ceremony followed by the Pledge of Allegiance led by NHS Member Bianca Rico.
