    Mundelein High School sophomore Dempsey Young has been chosen as one of three Finalists in a Fatherhood Essay Contest sponsored by the Illinois Fatherhood Initiative (IFI).     MHS to induct seven graduates as Distinguished Alumni

    Mundelein High School representatives have chosen seven MHS graduates to honor as Distinguished Alumni for 2020. This will be the fourth year that MHS will recognize alumni for their personal accomplishments and the many ways they give back to their communities. Traditionally, the event to honor the alumni has been on Homecoming Weekend. This year, because of the COVID-19 pandemic, the date for the ceremony is yet to be confirmed.     Mundelein High School sophomore, Dempsey Young, has been selected as a semifinalist in a Fatherhood Essay Contest sponsored by the Illinois Fatherhood Initiative (IFI). One hundred and thirty semifinalists were chosen from the more than 2,700 received. Her essay was in the top five percent of entries and she is now in the running to be a finalist.
