College Counselor earns state recognition

Mundelein High School’s College Counselor, Andrea Rusk, has been recognized by the Illinois Association for College Admission Counseling (IACAC) for the 2020 James A. Alexander Newcomer Award. The IACAC Newcomer Recognition Award was inaugurated in 1987 to recognize significant contributions of those members with fewer than five years’ involvement with IACAC. Jazz Ensemble invited to perform at prestigious clinic

The Midwest Band and Orchestra Clinic is an international festival that welcomes roughly 18,000 participants every year from all 50 states and 40 international countries. Corinne Corona and Joshua Bach, both students at the Lake County High School Technology Campus have been inducted into the National Technical Honor Society (NTHS). Corona is in the Early Education and Teaching II program while Bach is in the Automotive Service II program. Students collect funds for bi-weekly lunch box deliveries

Mundelein High School students from the SALT and Student Leadership groups collected $1,225 to use to help families in need. They collected funds through various means, including at Aldi, wearing protective masks to serve as role models. The students are so grateful for the community support and are thankful they can help, even if in a small way. The group donated $400 toward this week's food deliveries and will use the remaining funds

Students earn first, second place in essay contest; American Legion/Auxiliary select students for Boys, Girls State

Mundelein High School students took first and second place among Class III Americanism Essay Contest entries submitted to the Mundelein American Legion Auxiliary and Post. Senior Miles Chubin and junior Daniel Reed wrote responses to the question, “What can I do to unite our country?” Their responses earned first place for Chubin and second for Reed with cash prizes of $50 and $25, respectively.
