    MHS alum appointed by Michigan governor

    Zaneta Stinson Adams, a 1995 graduate of Mundelein High School, was recently appointed to the position of Director of the State of Michigan Veterans Affairs Agency. She was honored in 2017 as a recipient of the MHS Distinguished Alumni Award. Zaneta is an army veteran and also founded the Women Injured In Combat (WIIC) organization.

The event is scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 12 which is also Homecoming Weekend for Mundelein High School. Nominations are being accepted from February 14 through April 26.     Author of 17 novels in various genres, Barry Lyga, will speak with interested students Tuesday, Feb. 25 between 7:45 and 10:30 a.m. in the MHS Auditorium.     Mundelein High School’s Honors Wind Ensemble and Honors Symphonic Winds will perform in concert Thursday, Feb. 20 at 7 p.m. in the MHS Auditorium. This is a free public concert.     Fresh off their Jan. 25 victories in Prairie du Sac, Wisconsin, the Mundelein High School show choirs did it again, this time at the Fort Atkinson, WI Showcase.
