    Adolescent mental health is often misunderstood. This is the subject of an evening presentation sponsored by Mundelein United, a group of schools and organizations in Mundelein.     A group of Mundelein High School graduates, known as MHS College Ambassadors, will return to MHS Tuesday, Nov. 26 for the “Mustang Round-Up,” where they meet with current students to discuss preparation for college life.     A student and staff member were honored recently by Reflejos Magazine at their Eighth Annual Reflecting Excellence Awards Nov. 13. Both honorees were nominated for the awards by MHS staff member, Laura Garcia. Stephen Douglas, instructional aide in student services was recognized with a “Diversity Award”, and senior Stephanie Gutierrez was honored with the presentation of a Reflejos Scholarship worth $1000.     Robotics Team takes first place in tournament

    MHS Robotics competed this Saturday, November 16, at a VEX Robotics Competition hosted in Chicago. One of MHS Robotics teams was undefeated (8-0-1) and eventually became tournament champions beating other teams from nine different high schools. This qualifies the team to the state-wide VEX Robotics Competition to be held in March. Another team from MHS Robotics became tournament finalist with an (8-1-0) record.     The Heisman Trophy Trust has recently announced High School Scholarship School Winners. From an applicant pool of thousands of high school scholar-athletes graduating with the class of 2020, more than 3,600 have been named School Winners. Mundelein High School has two winners. Brian Horvat has played football for four years at MHS and is an All-Academic honoree this year. He is also a member of the school’s Link Crew.     Chicago Bear assists with collections for new Welcome Center

    Kerrith Whyte of the Chicago Bears was at Mundelein High School Tuesday, Nov. 12 to assist with collecting and sorting items for the new Welcome Center that recently opened at the District 120 Office Building. Whyte, along with members of the Helping Heroes of America Club at MHS, collected the items at the high school and moved them to the Welcome Center.     Mundelein Theatre to present The Elephant Man

    “Sometimes I think my head is so big because it is so full of dreams.” This is the seminal quote from the play The Elephant Man, by Bernard Pomerance.
