    Board of Education elects officers; appoints Rastrelli to open seat

    NEW BOARD OF EDUCATION ELECTS OFFICERS The newly-elected Mundelein High School District 120 Board of Education elected officers to begin the new Board. Laura Vogt was elected president; Thomas Ouimet, vice president; and Lisa Yaffe, secretary. In addition, Peter Rastrelli was appointed to the Board following the resignation of Joanne Anderson who moved out of the district. Rastrelli will serve a two-year term.

    MHS graduate, Oscar Rodrigo Araiza Bravo, who recently was awarded a full scholarship to Harvard University to study physics in a doctoral program. spoke with MHS students Monday, May 20.     A staff recognition ceremony for Mundelein High School staff members was held Wednesday, May 15 at the Hawthorn Woods Country Club hosted by Superintendent Kevin Myers and Principal Anthony Kroll.     During their Senior Honors Night at Mundelein High School on May 7, graduating seniors took in nearly $80K in scholarship money from local Mundelein area businesses and organizations.
