    “A Night At the Safari” student talent show will be held on Thursday, Nov. 7, at 7 pm in the MHS Auditorium. Tickets are $3 per person admission at the door.     New Faces to take the spotlight on Mundelein Theatre stage

    The future of Mundelein Theatre will be on display on the Mundelein High School stage at the beginning of November. The End of the World (With Prom to Follow), by Sean Abley, will be presented as the school’s New Faces Production. The cast is made up of 29 freshmen and sophomores, as well as juniors and seniors who have never appeared on the MHS main stage.     MHS to host free VEX Robotics competition; public invited

    Mundelein High School will host the VEX Robotics Competition in Illinois on Saturday, Oct. 26, from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the high school. This free event is open to the public. During the competition, robots will go against other robots, placing cubes in goals and towers to score points for their alliance while descoring the opposing alliance.     Mundelein High School’s Jazz Ensemble and Jazz Orchestra will host an evening of jazz music along with the Jazz Ensemble from Lake Zurich High School and jazz vocalist Kim Nazarian.     Mundelein High School’s chapter of the National Honor Society (NHS) will induct 55 new members Tuesday, Oct. 22 at 7 p.m. in the MHS Auditorium. The new inductees were chosen by a faculty selection committee based on the four principles of NHS, namely character, scholarship, leadership and service.     Vocal music will be in the air on Monday, October 21 as groups from the high school will join with singers from West Oak, Fremont and Sandburg middle schools in a free concert at 7 p.m. in the MHS Auditorium.     Parent/Teacher Conferences Oct. 24/25 by appointment only

    Mundelein High School will hold parent-teacher conferences over two days, Thursday, Oct. 24 and Friday, Oct. 25. Conferences will be by appointment only with no walk-in appointments available. On Oct. 24, 10-minute conferences will be available from 1:30 to 3 p.m. and from 4 to 7 p.m. Students will be dismissed from school at 11:25 a.m. that day.
