    Orchesis to present final show, youth clinic

    Mundelein High School’s Orchesis Club will present its final show of the year Monday, April 29 at 7 p.m. in the MHS Auditorium. Admission to the show is $4 for adults and $3 for students and seniors. Prior to the show, on Sunday, April 28, the Club will host a Youth Dance Clinic from 1 to 2:30 p.m. for students in grades kindergarten through eighth grade. Cost for the clinic is $15.     ENJOY AN EVENING OUT AT THE MUNDELEIN NIGHT OF PERCUSSION [MNOP] Mundelein Night of Percussion will be hosted by the Mundelein High School Bands Tuesday, April 30, from 7 to 8 pm. Performances will be by student soloists, drumline and percussion ensemble. Soribeat, a Korean Drumming Group, will be the guest musicians. Jerald Shelato and Andy Sturgeon direct the instrumental music department at MHS.​

    MHS "Family" to be remembered at volleyball game fundraiser

    The boys volleyball program will remember members of the MHS family who succumbed to cancer by hosting a Bear Necessities Pediatric Cancer Foundation match against Antioch High School in the Main Gym Friday, April 26, beginning at 5 p.m. A 50/50 raffle will take place and Bear Necessities Bears will be available for a $20 donation. Donations to enter the game are $3 for kids and $5 for adults.

    MHS to host annual All Area Art Show

    Mundelein High School will host its annual Mundelein All Area Art Show Thursday, April 25 from 6 to 8:30 p.m. in the main gym free of charge. Each year, the MHS Art Department invites each of the feeder schools to participate alongside MHS students in exhibiting their artwork. Those schools include West Oak Middle School, Diamond Lake Elementary, Fairhaven School, Fremont Middle, Fremont Intermediate, Fremont Elementary and Mechanics Grove Elementary School.

    Senior headed to Kentucky for National Competition

    Christyan Leon Ventura took part in the SkillsUSA State Competition last week and took first place in the Auto Collision Repair category. With his first place win, he is now eligible to compete at the National level in Louisville, KY June 24-29. The National Leadership and Skills Conference will showcase career and technical education students. More than 18,000 students, teachers and business partners are expected to participate in the week long event.
