    The Mundelein Theatre Group Interpretation (GI) team will present a preview of their 2019 competition piece, I Kill Giants, on Thursday, March 14 and Friday, March 15 at 7:30 p.m. in the Mundelein High School Auditorium.     MHS to hold Civics Fair March 14

    For the second year, Mundelein High School will hold a Civics Fair featuring Advanced Placement (AP) US and Comparative Government students. The event will take place Thursday, March 14 from 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the high school’s commons area. Among the scheduled guests for the Fair will be Mundelein Mayor Steve Lentz and representatives from the offices of Melinda Bush and Daniel Didech and possibly others.

    Mundelein High School junior, Allan Rodriguez, has landed a summer scholarship to study film at New York University Tisch School of the Arts. The scholarship amounts to about $12 thousand that covers tuition, meals, housing, insurance, weekend events, etc. The program is a four-week college course during the summer where students from all over the world go to study film

    Poetry Slam Team earns honors at Adler Music and Arts Center

    Members of the Mundelein High School Poetry Slam Team took part with a number of other schools at the Young Blood Spoken Word and Pop-Up Art Show at the David Adler Music and Arts Center in Libertyville on March 3. Several members of the group earned honors for their work. Team members include Raegan Duym, Isabelle Jurasz, Meghan Mathys and Rose Rosell.

    MHS to host 54th Annual Mundelein Invitational March 9

    The 54th Annual Mundelein Invitational will take place at Mundelein High School on Saturday, March 9. Forty-two high school and middle school jazz bands/combos will participate in performances and clinics throughout the day critiqued by 10 noted clinicians. A $5 admission charge is good for the whole day.

    MHS to host SnapClips founders; got their break on Shark Tank

    Mundelein High School's Business Incubator students and staff will host presentations on Wednesday, March 6, by the founders of SnapClips, a product that they "pitched" to the entrepreneurs on the television show, "Shark Tank." At the end of their presentation, a combined offer of $150,000 for 30 percent equity in the business was made by Mark Cuban, Lori Greiner and Alex Rodriguez, and accepted. ​
