MHS senior selected as National Hispanic Scholar

Mundelein High School senior, Ricky Rodriguez, has been selected as a National Hispanic Scholar, sponsored by the College Board.

STAND-UP celebrates 10 years with Mundelein Youth

– In August of 2007, after tragic accidents in Lake County that claimed the lives of teens due to underage drinking and other drug use, several local leaders in Mundelein including the Mundelein Police Department, Nicasa Behavioral Health Services, and the Lake County After School Coalition (LCASC), formed the Mundelein STAND-UP Task Force to prevent such incidents from occurring in Mundelein.

MHS to host Financial Aid Night Sept. 26

Mundelein High School’s Guidance Department will host its annual Financial Aid Night Tuesday, Sept. 26 for students and parents of college-bound students. The presentation will begin in Spanish at 6 p.m. and in English at 7:30 p.m. Both presentations will take place in the MHS Auditorium.

MHS to raise funds during Red Rage Hurricane Relief Week

In conjunction with Homecoming Week, the student leadership at Mundelein High School has decided to also raise funds to support the victims of the two recent hurricanes.

Today, officials of National Merit Scholarship Corporation [NMSC] announced the names of approximately 16,000 semifinalists in the 63rd annual National Merit Scholarship Program. Among them is Mundelein High School senior, Nathan Cartland.

Volleyball team to honor 20 staff members Thursday

The Mundelein High School Girls Varsity Volleyball Team will recognize a number of MHS staff members between the sophomore and varsity matches at 5:45 p.m. in the main gym. In what has become a tradition, the team honors staff members who have gone above their required duties to make a difference in the team’s high school years.
