12 senior athletes sign to play college-level sports

In a signing ceremony held in early April, 12 students athletes made commitments to play college-level athletics. It included the following:

All-Area Art Show to feature 11 schools

For the second year, the Mundelein High School Art Department will host the Mundelein All- Area Art Show in the main gym Tuesday, April 11 and Wednesday, April 12. A formal reception will take place April 11 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. with music provided by the MHS Chamber Ensemble.

Author to spend April 10 with MHS students

Erin Jade Lange, a Young Adult author, will meet with Mundelein High School students in large groups at 8 a.m. and 10 a.m. Monday, April 10 in the MHS Auditorium.

NHS to conduct MHS Miracle Minute to raise funds

Mundelein High School’s National Honor Society [NHS] will conduct its second annual MHS Miracle Minute Friday, April 7, from 9:20 to 9:50 a.m. to fundraise for a campaign called Pennies for Patients.

FBLA students earn state honors; qualify for national competition

Students and advisors of the Mundelein High School chapter of Future Business Leaders of America [FBLA] traveled to and competed at the State Leadership Conference in Springfield March 24 and 25. As a state officer, senior Adriana Feijoo presided over the conference, which included 21 students from MHS. Members competed in various events that tested their business leadership skills.

Term 3 Honor Roll Announced

MHS officials have announced the names of students who made the Term 3 Honor Roll.

Five students inducted into NTHS

Five Mundelein High School students have been inducted into the Lake County High Schools Technical Campus National Technical Honor Society [NTHS] Chapter.

Group Interpretation qualifies for state competition

The Mundelein Theatre’s Group Interpretation, Stranger than Fiction, took part in sectional competition March 18 at Fremd High School in Palatine and placed second, which qualifies them to compete in the state tournament this weekend at the University of Illinois at Springfield.

SoundFX, Lights, take first and second

Mundelein High School’s all-male show choir, SoundFX, was named Grand Champion in the Unisex Division at the Herscher Swing and Sing Invitational held March 18 at Herscher [IL] High School. The all-female show choir, Lights, was named first runner-up.

Staff Variety Show to raise funds for Jerri Craven Scholarship

Mundelein High School’s staff will provide an evening of entertainment with its Variety Show Thursday, March 23, at 7 p.m. in the MHS Auditorium. Price of admission is $2 for all seats and donations will be accepted at the door.
