    For the second straight year, Mundelein High School was recognized as one of the “Best Communities for Music Education (BCME)” in the nation. This unique and prestigious award is given by the NAMM (National Association of Music Merchants) Foundation. “We are so proud of our music staff, students and community supporters - they’re in an elite class,” said MHS Principal Alexandria Rios Taylor. “To receive this award for a second straight year proves that our program has sustained success.”

    MHS senior wins corporate-sponsored National Merit Scholarship

    Mariana Van Eycke is one of a select group of distinguished high school seniors from across the nation to have won corporate-sponsored National Merit Scholarship Awards. Van Eycke is receiving the National Merit Motorola Solutions Scholarship. She will attend the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign to study computer science and bioengineering.

    MHS breaks ground on facilities improvement project

    Mundelein High School District 120 officials broke ground Wednesday on the Facilities Improvement Project voters approved in a referendum last November. The ceremonial groundbreaking was held on the west side of the high school in an area where new classrooms will be added. The physical work on the facilities project started in March as the workers began to repurpose the former MHS Annex into the new home of the District 120 Transition Center.

    MHS places 17 among top 10 at FBLA State Conference

    The MHS Chapter of Future Business Leaders in America gave a well-rounded performance at the annual State Leadership Conference in March as 17 students placed among the top 10 finishers in their category. The Mundelein Chapter competed with 67 other chapters from around the state in more than 75 competitive events ranging from business topics and computer skills to interview and presentation events.​
