MHS names six new division chairs for 2026-27 school year

MHS is proud to announce six new division chairs who will help guide our school in a new organizational structure in the next school year. They will begin their new duties in the 2026-27 school year as Mundelein High School transitions from Department Chairs to a Division Chair system.

College Board recognizes MHS on the AP Honor Roll for third straight year

For the third straight year, MHS earned recognition on the College Board’s AP Honor Roll. The AP Honor Roll recognizes schools whose AP programs are delivering results from students while broadening participation. College Board’s AP Program enables students to pursue college-level studies - with the opportunity to earn college credit, advanced placement, or both - while still in high school.

MHS Shines at FBLA Conference

Mundelein High School’s Future Business Leaders of America students shined during the 2026 Northern Area Conference at the College of Lake County. Competing against schools from across the region in more than 70 events, nearly 50 MHS students earned numerous top 10 finishes. The competitions included taking objective tests and delivering live presentations on various business topics. Students scoring at the top in their event advance to the State Competition in Springfield this April.

This prestigious award, granted by the Illinois Student Assistance Commission (ISAC), identifies graduating high school seniors who demonstrate outstanding academic achievement and exceptional potential for success in higher education.

INCubator MVP pitch day Friday

Nearly four dozen MHS students showcased their products and business models to 11 local business owners and entrepreneurs on Friday as part of the INCubator MVP Pitch Day. The students in the INCubator class spent much of the semester producing and ideating a product that would solve a specific problem. Groups of three to five students developed a business model and presented it to members of the INCubator Board of Advisors and INCubator coaches for a Shark Tank experience.

D120 promotes Stevee Libert as next MHS Principal

A familiar face will take over the reins at Mundelein High School when current MHS Principal Alex Taylor steps down from the job in the spring. The District 120 Board of Education on Tuesday promoted current Associate Principal Stevee Libert as the next MHS principal. “Stevee has proven herself to be very passionate in every role she’s held at MHS over the past decade,” said District 120 Superintendent Corey Tafoya.
