    MHS Honors Wind Ensemble selected to SuperState

    The MHS Honors Wind Ensemble has been selected to compete at SuperState in May, the state-level festival for high school and middle school band programs. “The honor is one of the highest large ensemble honors in the state each year,” said Rich Stiles, Fine Arts and Career Technical Education Department Chairman at MHS. “We are so proud of the entire band program on this success.” The Wind Ensemble was last selected for SuperState in 2022.

    Mundelein Theatre Group Interpretation Goes to State Tourney

    The Mundelein Theatre Group Interpretation Team had a very eventful, and successful, spring break, finishing second in sectional competition and competing in the state tournament. Individual members of the Mundelein team earned accolades with eight team members selected for the All-Sectional Cast and four company members being named to the All-State Cast.

    MHS senior receives Evans Scholarship for golf caddies

    Mundelein High School senior Nicholas Selimos has earned the prestigious Chick Evans Scholarship, a full tuition and housing, four-year college scholarship for golf caddies. Selimos plans to attend the University of Illinois - Chicago in the fall and study mechanical engineering. The scholarship, given by the Evans Scholars Foundation, is awarded based on a strong caddie record, excellent academics, demonstrated financial need and outstanding character.

    The Mundelein High School Jazz Ensemble will perform at the legendary Jazz Showcase at 806 S Plymouth Ct in Chicago on Monday, March 3. Founded in 1947, the Jazz Showcase, 806 S. Plymouth Ct., is the oldest historic jazz club in Chicago. The Mundelein Jazz Ensemble will perform at 7:15 p.m. as an opening band for the Bob Lark Alumni Big Band. General Admission tickets are $20 and VIP tickets are $30.

    MHS students excel at FBLA Conference competition

    Jan 30, 2025

    Mundelein High School FBLA students had a number of top-10 finishers in various categories during the 2025 Northern Area Conference at the College of Lake County in Grayslake. They will next compete at the end of March at the State Competition in Springfield. The 2025 Northern Area Conference included schools and students participated in more than 70 events. MHS students either took objective tests or gave live/recorded presentations on a wide variety of topics.
