    The Illinois Art Education Association named MHS teacher Jonathan Pruc the 2021 IAEA High School Art Educator of the Year. The group’s awards and scholarship committee cited Pruc’s professional performance, service and leadership as exemplary. “Jonathan is an educator who thinks outside the box, looks at art and education through a critical lens and constantly works to connect and engage his students in their learning,” according to a statement from the IAEA.

    Jewel donates PPE to schools

    About a week before the new school year began in Mundelein, Jewel-Osco made a significant donation of face masks and hand sanitizer to School Districts 75 and 120. The retailer presented school officials with 3,400 face masks and 1,100 bottles of hand sanitizer. The donation was facilitated by Dr. Yara Lucht, the Osco Pharmacy Manager who also happens to be a Mundelein resident and District 75 parent. The timing was good because Illinois Gov. JB Pritzker had just mandated masks for all student​

    The Mundelein Theatre Group Interpretation (GI) team recently competed in the 2021 Illinois High School Association (IHSA) Drama and Group Interpretation Tournament. The contest was held virtually, with each team recording and submitting their entries.
