AVID (Advancement via Individual Determination) is a college and career readiness program that supports students in developing the skills, confidence, and habits needed for success in honors, advanced placement, and dual credit courses. Students learn to stay organized, take effective notes, manage their time, and work collaboratively with peers. AVID provides academic support, mentorship, and structured tutorials that help students think critically and take ownership of their learning. Throughout the program, students explore college and career options, build leadership skills, and prepare for the transition to colleges and universities. By senior year, AVID students are confident, college-ready, and prepared to thrive in the postsecondary path of their choice.
